I really like watching the show. I really like pinky, ruben, shalya. I dont think alicia does as good as the others in dancing. I know they are all trying their best.

I loved Pinky's 80's outfit and would like to know if there is somewhere i can purchase one for myself for an 80's party I am having. If not for sale at a store, can you send me a picture so that i can try to put one similar together?

blink.gif I think Rubin is great, but am wondering how a professional was allowed on the show.

Hi, Contestants, this question you have probably answered a lot:
What get's you pumped and ready to get up on the stage? I mean aren't you nervous? I wouldn't be able to take it! See, I am pretty heavy, around 150 pounds for a 13 year old. So what makes you put on those giant smiles before getting out in front of the judges?
Love,
Emma Nem

P.S. I am definately not one of those girls, who are skinny as sticks, that go look in a mirror and say; OMG! I gained a pound! I'm fat!

I love the show, first of all!

Congrats to all of the dancers for making it this far...I loved Warren the most though, I was so sad to see him go!

My questions~

1) How do all of the contestants dance without being extremely nervous? I know I'd be, haha.
2) For the judge Danny~ could you do the Six Flags dance on stage some time?...love you Danny! smile.gif
3) Are the contestants allowed to just throw away all of the Cheat foods or do you restock them?

I want to know why Danny always gives Pinky scores she doesn't deserve. Pinky barely moves and yet is given great scores by Danny.

What's with this Pinky girl? She hardly moves, she has this mean look on her face, when she was suppose to look strong & sultry with the tango dance. I think the judges have already chosen who they want to win (Pinky). If I had to vote for anyone it would be Reuben, he's been very consistent in every way. The other two girls are good also. So, why is STIFF PINKY getting all the attention? I really don't understand any of it. How do they come up with the end score? I think this show is really off track.

It was not fair to the other contestants for no one to go home during the last show. Obviously, Pinky should have gone home but she was saved. Shayla worked too hard for such a dissappointment to happen. At that moment when all 4 contestants were saved, I felt it was unfair to every other contestant that had been sent home on the show. I believe in fairness, but now I see that the show is not fair at all. We all knew from Pinky's scores that she was supposed to go home and Shayla to stay. I hate the fact that I have really gotten into this show and haven't missed an episode and then the judges just upset the whole competition. Pinky always has the least weight loss and really isn't that great of a dancer. Reuben and Shayla are by far the best dancers and have lost the most weight. I guess fairness to all has been thrown completely out of the competition. It's a shame!

rolleyes.gif thanks for the empowering weight loss/ dance show it's really got my attention and I love connecting with the dancers and their individual story's.

My question goes to PINKY my favorite dancer:

Pinky I truly believe your are the cream of the crop, but I do notice all the negative statements and energy coming from a lot of people.

Do you follow what people are saying, and how does that effect your self confidence?

Keep doing what you do and DANCE YOUR A$$ OFF forever!

The re-created versions of the songs are TERRIBLE. Is there a reason why the re-created pop songs sound incredibly stiff, without any soul, and sometimes have bad ultra-cheesy singing? Its really distracting to me that the music is so bad.

SOOOO.....why have very few of the questions actually been answered? I thought the purpose of this forum was for folks to be able to ask questions to the DYAO administration, etc. that would actually be answered. So...many questions have been asked..so why have so few of them been answered? It seems to be rather rude to ignore those who went to the trouble to ask questions they wanted answers to. How about showing a little politeness and answering the questions?

P.S hopefully i'll be on this show for a season!

angry.gif Shayla was robbed. She could outdance them all...flips...splits....actual moves...looked nice in her outfit too.....Ruben looked like a chimichanga on the dance floor while his partner danced around him to disguise his inferior dance technique. He has never done anything worthy of 3 10's. America needs a say in this because the judges got it wrong. This show needs to adopt the same scheme as So You Think You Can Dance. America votes bc they like someone, judges vote based on talent. And that blond judge didn't know what she was talking about 1/2 of the time. Shayla and Pinky = top 2. Ruben winning = Other good dancers robbed point blank....deleting this show from my list of timers on my DVR immediately.

WE LOVE SHAYLA IN THE BAHAMAS...DISAPPOINTED BY THE RESULTS. AUDIENCE VOTES NEED TO COUNT. MARISSA NEEDS TO LOSE A LITTLE MORE BEFORE WEARING SUCH TIGHT DRESSES BECAUSE THE BOTTOM HALF LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS BEING SQUEEZED TO DEATH.

MAY NOT WATCH AGAIN...MANY OF MY FRIENDS ALSO...UNFAIR FINALE...FROM JUDGES PICK TO SCORES GIVEN.

I was initially so thrilled by the show but sorely disappointed by the results, watching all the way from the Bahamas. Firstly, Pinky should not have made it into the finals and secondly, how could someone in the group of 9 eliminated win $5000 and Shayla and Pinky get nothing? Thirdly, the popular vote was always Shayla, so why doesn't the popular vote count?

It is a biological fact that men lose weight far more quickly than women. There should be a top man and top woman to split the pot - 50K each. Come on...10 lbs a week for Reubin? Does everyone know how difficult it is for a woman to lose 2 lbs with ormones and monthly cycles and all? Our muscles develop much slower than men and thus metabolism is not boosted to the same levels as theirs when we exercise. Because of this, I think other factors should have been considered because an extremely overweight person (Reubin) may lose a lot of weight but not build as much muscle as a less heavy person and therefore the scale would reflect a higher weight loss for him. Therefore, muscle gained should have beem taken into count as well because that makes the weight loss seem like less as you get closer to your goal. Is is clear that Shayla began to build solid lean muscle evidence by the tightening and toning of her body while everyone else still had fat flying around.

I didn't have a problem with Shayla and Pinky being under 200lbs because when you are a 5'2" woman, weigning 185lbs, that is just as bad a a 6' man weighing 300lbs, even worse!

Also, the judges picked the slowest dance genre for Shayla's finale, which requires a longer time to draw in and audience as opposed to an upbeat routine. Then, they scored her low for an amazing routine! I think Shayla came closest to the goal of the show than anyone on the show and the amazing body she revealed at the end in that gown tells it all.

On another note, the man's role in the dance routine was always less demanding. They don't have to be tossed into the air, fall into splits, lift their legs over their heads, bend over backwards and bend their bodies in ways that the female competitors had to in order to make their routines interesting. The female professional dancers did the work for the men while they basically just had to ensure they were the leader on the floor and held the right posture. Reuben did nothing that made his routines memorable to me and was scored far too high throughout the entire show.

I may watch again next season but not as enthused as I was before...the host definitely needs work as well.

Is there a page on this website where we can see, at a glance, how much weight each contestant lost each week?

I just set a goal on Fitday.com of losing 20 lbs. in 2 months and it said it was unrealistic, that I was trying to lose too much too fast. Ha! I know Pinky lost more than that!

Pinky's my hero!
