HI GUYS IM NEW TO THIS WHOLE MODELING THING AND NEED SOME ADVICE! MT 11 YR OLD DAUGHTER IS INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MODEL/ACTRESS. SHE IS VERY BEAUTIFUL AND HAS ALOT OF WORK TO DO ON HER POISE AND SUCH. SHE HAS NEVER DONE ANYHTING LIKE THIS BEFORE. AN AGENCY HAS QUOTED ME 650.00 FOR 12 WEEKS OF SESSIONS TO PREPARE HER AFTER WHICH THEY HANDLE EVERYTHING ELSE WITH NO FEES...SHE GETS PAID AND THEY KEEP 10 PERCENT. IS THIS OK? IS THIS NOT ACCEPTABLE.... ANT ADVICE WOULD HELP THANKS

From someone who has some experience in the modeling industry let me give you the foundation of advice on becoming a model. You should never pay anything out of pocket. If you are asked for any money, even 20 bucks, it is a scam. A ligit agency will handle all the training she may need because they believe in her and will make plenty of money through her just simply booking her. Next after the lessons a scam agency will then tell you that you must now pay for her headshots and comp cards. go back and ask the representative of teh agency if they will be supplying her with this. DO NOT give these people your money. The industry does not work like that.......Trust me!!!! It makes me sick that these scammeers work like this, they pray on the fact that you would do anything to help your daughter be successful, and help her reach her dreams. Tell them that you will be happy to reimburse them out of the first 650 dollars they make on her bookings. This should be their investmennt not yours. It is just absolutely phony, and I'm sorry to say that but its the truth. I know you dont want to believe it and you surely dont want to burst her bubble, but she will feel worse after she finds out itwas a scam and they have really strang her along. Dont do it.....PLEASE DONT DO IT
