I am watching obessed with ANTM because I love the show. But I think it was really unfair how they treated the plus size model. Everyone deserve a chance and she did am excellent job so. The judges didn't had to treat her so badly. She is a very beautiful plus size woman and she did her things. They need to get over it because you don't have to be skinny and don't eat too look good.

It is not just the judges; it is the fashion industry world wide. Take Janice Dickinson, for example. I love Janice. However, she is old-skool and she believes that models should be a size 0 to 2. And she feels they need to get there by healty diet and exercise. I have been a large size woman in the past. I am now a size 6 to 8. But I am only 5' 3" and I could not model very well due to my height and my size. Changes do need to be made, in the fashion industry, in the magazines, on the tv commercials, on the billboards. I agree with you.

It's the industry in general, skinny sells! sad.gif

Some of them are annoying and I think we need new people as judges. I'm tired of seeing the same ones.

I agree, but as long as Tyra calls the shots, the judges will pretty much stay the same. I liked it when Dickenson was on there, but again her and Tyra clashed too much. wink.gif wink.gif

HOT NEWS!!!

Upon this hallowed day, wherein we experience the revelation of the "America's Next Top Model" heir-apparent (oh, come on, we saw it coming from a mile away) ... all I keep thinking is: "what the hell, they fired Paulina?"

Paulina Porizkova, she of the effortless snark and withering critiques, has left the building. Fired due to some combination of ANTM cutbacks and/or her alleged "ego problem." Paulina: call me. I will brush your rock-n-roll hair and laugh at all your goofy, deadpan Czech jokes. Whomever they bring on next won't hold a candle to you. We shall never forget.

Paulina Porizkova: 'America's Next Top Model' fired me
By Rick Porter
May 13, 7:35 AM

Get your fill of Paulina Porizkova on the "America's Next Top Model" finale Wednesday -- because that's the last time you'll be seeing her on the show.

In an appearance on CBS' "Late Late Show" Tuesday night, Porizkova told host Craig Ferguson that The CW show has dropped her as a judge.

"Do you know why I'm in Los Angeles?" she asked Ferguson "... Because I'm looking for a job, because I was fired by 'America's Next Top Model' -- on my birthday."

Porizkova has been a judge on "Top Model" for the past three cycles, filling the "retired supermodel" spot on the panel that was previously held by Twiggy and Janice Dickinson. She said on "The Late Late Show" that when she was let go last month, she was told the show "needed to cut some fat, and the fat was me."

"It could have been either that or my gigantic, huge ego," she said. "Which I wasn't aware of before I was told by the producers that I had an ego problem."

A CW rep confirmed Wednesday morning that "Paulina is no longer with the show."

Ferguson jokingly wondered if the show let her go because of a rivalry between Porizkova and host/executive producer Tyra Banks, but Porizkova wouldn't take that bait: "I really believe they just felt like they didn't need me, which of course they don't. So that's OK."

A lot of us girls that are a little heavier than most were offended because these girls were not fat! I believe that the fashion industry is too biased and should give any beautiful woman a chance to model no matter what her size or height. I'm 5'3 and 150 pounds but my body is shaped beautifully just like these models. Whitney only won because Tyra thought that it would be a good time to let a "plus size" model to win. That's ok, though us bigger woman know that we are still "fierce".

The 'skinny' industry survives only because it sells!! If it didn't then 'fat' would be in!!!
