The posts I'm reading here are giving me the idea that safe sex isn't a top priority for many of you. Here's a little food for thought for those of you who think "it can't happen to me."

-A recent study shows that one out of every four teen girls has a sexually transmitted disease.

-25% of all people newly infected with HIV are teenagers

-The rate of new HIV infections is climbing fastest in teenagers, women and people of color.

Please think about that the next time you're tempted to slip because "you're in love", or he says "he's clean" or you just don't feel like messing with a condom. STD's are equal opportunity infectors, whether you're promiscuous or a nervous beginner, gay or straight. Regardless of your sexual orientation, having vaginal, oral or anal sex can put you at risk for STD infection.
