Full Version: Cell Phones?
I've always wanted to know why they don't allow the contestants to bring their phones to the house. It would make it SOOOooooo much easier for people to get in contact with those back home. For example, Jael's friend that died. She had to hear that from a phone message on the answering machine. Couldn't anybody have heard that message? Anyway . . . I just thought that it was weird that no one has a phone on this show . . . or any show for that matter
Um, it's a game show. Someone wins at the end and since the shows are not live they do not want people tattling about the episodes.

i know its like if i wanted to go on that show and eurent new pops up i would like my cell phone to be their

I do agree that it would probley make it all easier but it is better raitings to see the drama over the phone.
BUT I do think that the contestants should be allowed to bring cell phones, but like someone said above that they don't want them to be able to tell people what is going on but the thing is that they always say that the winner doesn't tell anybody but I'm sure they end up telling there family...they may not but I mnow that I wouldn't have been able to handle not telling them so either way the parents/family will find out before the show airs so I don't really get the point.
I think they should be able to them or at least give the house more than just one phone for 13-14 girls!

It creates more drama and infighting if the girls have to share one phone. They can't call their moms and friends to vent and this causes them to argue with each other when they're having problems within the house. TV show producers know how to milk their casts for every drop of drama and fighting. Without it the shows would be pretty boring.

It's the rules, if the girls don't like it then they shouldn't try out!!
I believe Natasha (who went against Jaslene in the final of their cycle) was taped having strange conversations with her husband on a cell phone while it lay on her pillow and the other girls were making fun of her over it.
