I am a big girl, and it really pisses me off when Tyra calls the girls who wear size 14-16 plus size! She needs to watch the movie Phat Girlz! Now that is a real prespective on the women of America! It is sickning to see these girls who weigh 100 lbs. wet. Tyra is prejudice aginst the REAL women of America! If your going to have a show about modeling, do a show that doesn't make girls and women hate the way they look!

I don't think Tyra is prejudice at all against ANY kind of women! It's not a bad thing to be a plus size and Tyra isnt saying it is bad! It's a fact... if your size 14 to 16 plus size. Being a plus size girl maybe alittle harder but its still the same EXACT thing as being regular size! OBVIOUSLY you don't watch alot of ANTM because if you did you would know that Tyra respects all of the girls, no matter what size!
do u know what your talking about? if u check the other people that help her make the decisions u would realize that out of all of them the one that is prejudice to ps women is the baldheaded guy c how he kept on sayin sarah it looks like ur loosing weight over n over again it was frustrating her because how can u be skinny if ur plus size n he fails 2 realize get my point
If she believed in plus-sized models, she would have one on her panel of judges.

True. Whitney was plus size and won so I don't think Tyra is against plus size but it's probably true that the industry favors the smaller women and that's not something Tyra can control - what she can control is having plus sized women as finalist and I think she's pretty fair about that. It pained me when Janice Dickinson was on the panel because she is totally anti-plus size.

It's been a long time since I've posted, but I must say I also do not agree that Tyra is prejudice against plus size woman. If you noticed when Tyra was doing her thing she was A LOT smaller than now when she's judging. She put on some healthy weight and now (in my opinion) fits in with today's society- those on the "meatier" side if you will. Tyra realized she had lacked a real healthy diet while modeling and thus knows the industry well. I also agree that its the industry that is biased and some of the judges like Miss Dickinson aka who thinks she's the worlds first supermodel. She is the phony and needs a reality check. If you notice when Tyra introduces her she always says "self-proclaimed." LOL.
As for Miss Banks I think she is trying to make a change within the industry by giving plus size girls a chance and by having one win already. As for the other plus size girls who didn't win, I don't believe it was Tyra's fault or decision because she has a panel of judges helping her. Nor do I think its really the fault of the judges. It was something that individual just lacked. I don't see why ANTM has to have a plus size woman on the panel to prove an unprejudice nature, but I'd like to see anyone but Miss Dickinson. I think Tyra speaks well for all woman of all sizes and color, and looks the part of backing plus size woman. I'm hoping to see a complete change within the modeling industry period. Such as: more african american woman, more plus sized woman, more woman of shorter height even, and why not some woman who may have a handicap but look sexy, gorgeous, and hot as hell!! i dont think tyra is prejiduse at all she wantd them to win but that judt didnt happen. tyra is an amazing women and she shoudnt be lookd down apon for something she can do nothing about. she wants people of all races hight ethnicity all that stff in the competition and she cnt hel if if they dnt win. and twggy was the fist supermodel and will always be the best besides tyra
