I have had Mirena IUD Since Christmas 08 and Now I"m to the point where I can't have sex without hurting. Every time I"ve been to the OB he tells me everything is fine. Is there something else I can do to enjoy having sex again? It's really taking a tow on my husband and me.

I also got the Mirena IUD and have had numerous problems from dibilitating cramps, painful sex, bad cirrculation in my legs, and gained around 60lbs. overnight. The only good thing that has come from it is that have'nt had a period since I got it around May of 07'. I have finally decided to have it removed at this end of this month. I have asked my gyno about the complications and also heard the same response which was everything but the weight gain was fine.

I don't care if the doc says all is right in the Mirena world. You need to have it removed as soon as possible. Research other methods, there are many new things out there.

Have it removed.
