I am a mom to five, been married for 23 years. We married young.. I am not "that" old. ;p Our oldest son is 22. The youngest is now 11. I so miss babies. I do enjoy seeing Liam and Stella on the show.

I HATE reality shows. To me it is like being a peeping Tom to watch some of them. I know that others like to watch them and am a firm believer in people being able too. I just do not ever watch them!

I ran on to "Tori and Dean; Home Sweet Home" while channel surfing and decided to see how Tori was doing since 90210 days. My husband and I used to watch. hehe Interesting aside to that is we knew that it was an Aaron Spelling show and watched to see if Tori got the part of Donna on talent or because of family ties. OMG She got in on pure talent. What a cutie!! I saw Dean on a few shows and thought he was a good actor too. Are they soooo cute together or what?

btw I also do not post to msg boards either. I watched the other nights episode and got a wild hair to post. What the heck in for a penny, watching the show, in for a pound, posting. :-D

I also had major problems with my mom when my first son was born. Had a pretty codependent childhood and had a bunch of issues to work out with her. We did not speak for a long time.. Not nearly as long as Tori with her mom. But it hurt as we had been close while I was growing up. Having children does put Tori in a bit of a power position. The children are hers and she is in charge. Her mother, I am betting always used to be the in charge person in their relationship. I am speculating that Tori and Candies relationship was decent until Tori decided she needed more, and she was willing to fight for it. Some people just have to be in charge - Candy. Having kids, the mom is very much in charge. The grandmother only has privileges if the parents let them. I can see how Tori wants to have a great relationship with her children. Who doesn't? And in that I can see how she would also love to have a healthy relationship with her mother, so her kids can have one too. I know the pain she shoulders. It is very hard to love your children so much and want them to have things that kids should have but not be able to give them a loving, healthy relationship with a grandparent.
I do not know all about the problems - not my business too. But I get the feeling that the only way that that relationship will even have a chance is if Tori finds in herself the strength and.. even the humility to reach out to her mother. Just because you reach out does not mean you give in. I can tell she knows enough to see that Tori has a mind of her own and that she, Candy, will have to abide by Tori and Deans rules. It will be interesting to see how that situation works out. I hope that I am making sense.

Tori and Deans relationship is one of the most non codependent ones I have witnessed. They have a great family and I really enjoy seeing it when they let us in. :-)
