Whenever I watch this round I don't understand why Nicole won. She consistently failed at so many of the challanges and they repeatedly say on the show that "it's not just about looks." So how did she win, if it wasn't just looks? Nik was just as beautiful and wanted it just as badly.

SHE WON BECAUSE THE JUDGES CHOSE HER AND I AGREE THAT NIK WAS GOOD BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE KICKED OUT BRE WHO HAD STINKING MANNERS AND NO UPBRINGING AT ALL, BUT I GUESS BECAUSE SHE'S BLACK , TYRA COULD NOT SEND HER HOME. I;VE BEEN WATCHING THIS SHOW A LOT AND THERE IS ALWAYS THIS FEELING THAT THE BLACK GIRLS GET BETTER CHANCES THAN ANY OTHER AND THATS WHY I WAS HAPPY THAT NICOLE WON ALTHOUGH I REALLY LOVED NIK.
TYRA GO BOLLYWOOD AND EXPERIENCE BEAUTY AND GREAT MODELS AND SINCE YOU HAVE JAY AND NIGEL BOTH ARE FAMILIAR WITH THAT ASPECT THEY CAN HELP YOU TO BRING SOME BEAUTIES (INTELLENT ONES) TO SHOW YOUR NEXT SET OF WANNA BEES. I HATE RACIALISM AND IT STANDS OUT STRONGLY IN YOUR SHOW BUT ITS YOUR SHOW SO WHO AM I TO COMMENT.

The 1 reason why i really didnt like nicole is because she was the BIGGEST whiner ever.lol but nik should have beat her.

Nicole was a huge complainer andshe cryed way to much.She is super pretty but nicole but nik had way better pics and personality

I agree. Nik was just so stunning and unique. How many models like Nicole have they called "commercial" and eliminated them. Sorry but she was nothing special. Used to bug me that Mr j was often so vocal when he didn't care for a model but I've since come to the conclusion that the only two opinions that truly matter are that of Tyra and Nigel. Girls can totally screw up but if Tyra and Nigel like them they don't get cut. I still really like the show but it's gotten too predictable and well, kind of "commercial".
To the poster that suggested the "black" angle , I disagree. I'm often surprised when they go for non-blacks that really shouldn't win. Wasn't Nik part black? Point made. I'm sure there is so much behind the scenes crap that effects their decisions.

Because in the end, on the runway, Nicole nailed it! As noisy as it was with the loud music, you can hear Tyra WHOOP it up as Nicole was going down the runway. Nik unfortunately was a bit flat, which had been the criticism of her all along. The last scene between the two of them in the hotel room, there was Nicole jumping up and down on the bed with Nik sitting there watching her, hardly smiling. Nik was too serious. As emotional as Nicole was (is), she was much more fun to be with. And although the editing shows us the highlights of everyone's personality, it is impossible for us to know EVERYTHING that goes on behind-the-scenes.

I have to say I do agree and I don't I think Nik should have won because I think she was fierce, Nicole is pretty but I think nicole's attitude comes across as I " Yeah I know I am pretty but 1+1=4" I think in the runway she look like a 12 yr old trying to be a model, to me nik had the whole couture look a little bouncy yeah but I think the precence alone it counts

Nik should have had it. I think Nicoles win was heavily influenced by the reps at Cover Girl at that time. She really fit the young, fresh face thing. Its a shame that she just cant model well.

I don't think she was that pretty at all. She had no personality. Plus on some of the challenges she didn't even try she just sort of gave up

I've always wondered why Nicole didn't appear on the next season. You know, all the other past winners made a little appearance on the next season EXCEPT Nicole. What was up with that?
