I enjoy watching Tori and Dean but the episode where Tori was doing a potty dance made me feel that I would love to send the family a copy of my self published children's book "Pete's Potty", it's a nice approach without the stress. They can check it out at Authorhouse.com or contact me for a personally signed copy.

laugh.gif That's great that you both are taking a fun approach to the "elimination" challenge of kids. A woman with seven sons told me, "Forget potty training or pulling them away from their bottles or pacifiers. None of them are going to go to College in diapers with a baby bottle in their mouths." So, my three sons chose when they wanted to stop using the diapers. I pretty much just put juice flavored water in their baby bottles after a year of age. Guess what? They are grown men now and quite independent in their thinking. I let them make lots and lots of choices. When I was a professional educator, I really assessed the personal learning styles of the children and addressed their needs in the most meaningful way to the individual. It is the same with potty training, let them choose. The potty dance is cute and I bet "Pete's Potty" is wonderful. smile.gif

I agree with you, I did the potty dance with both my children and plus I let them decide when they were ready to get out of the diapers. I have a 21 yr and a 17yr that have been using the toilet for years now with out a problem and neither will say it was a traumatic experience.
I think most so called professionals have there own way of teaching potty training and thats good for them and who ever it may work for, but that doesn't mean it will work for every one. I think its what ever works for your child.

I agree with you...My kids let me know when they were ready...my husband and i never stressed over potty training..there is no reason to turn potty trainning into a big ordeal.
