As a lucky Grandmother of 4 I was saddened when Tori read her email from her Mother which said that the first thing she thought of when she got the invitation to the Birthday party was, "What shall I wear and I'll have to get my nails done" are you kidding me? That says it all.... My first thoughts would have been how excited I was to see those beautiful Granbabies and that I was going to get to hug and kiss them!!!! Tori, keep trying for your kids sake but not on camera, it needs to be in private so words can be said to begin healing. You wont be sorry, and Granma - smarten up and stop being so selfish -stop thinking only of yourself!!!!

Tori I love your show and watch it religously. Yes I have been wondering why mom has not come around either. I too had a hard time growing up with my mom always looking for her approval. As for Stella's birthday party, maybe the invite to Mom was too overbaring for her. You should just invite mom over for a one on one with the kids, maybe for an informal lunch. It could be that Mom might just be uncomfortable in a big crowd and a small family private get together might do the trick. She probably wants to talk privately with you. I hope you get to read your messages

I totally agree with nana of 4, you need to do this without the camera's tori, don't give up on your mom, I lost my mom two years ago to cancer, life is way to short and a girl always needs her mother so don't give up on her, fight for this!!! And Tori's mom get off of your high horse and make up with your daughter, there is nothing more sacred than a mother and daughter relationship!!! Those are your grandchildren go and see your kids!!!!

I agree with you completely but Tori can't do that (use common sense) because it would would affect her "RATINGS" hence ... her paycheck

Tori, I kind of have the same situation with my mother. I 'talk" to my mom occasionally but every time I do my younger brother's kids come up, they do this and they do that, I think my mom knows the names of my kids but I don't think she knows anything else and doesn't seem to want to. When I lived in Colorado with my family, one day she asked if I would like to go with her and my grandma to a casino, I thought oh fun 3 generations spending the day together, but was MAJORLY hurt when we got to the casino that one of the waitress said this isn't the same granddaughter who was with you last time, come to find out they had taken my younger brother's girlfriend there before. I was so hurt!!!! That a "girlfriend" would get the first invite. When I finally got the courage up to ask her about it, her response was to grow up and get over it. My husband says the exact same things that Dean does to you. He hates to see me hurt. I tell him the only reason I still "talk" to my mom is because of my grandmother. Her health isn't the greatest and wouldn't want anything to happen to her and not hear about it. So just don't let your mom ruin your good life you seem to have with Dean.

I agree with you 100 percent i to am a grandma and nothing or noone stands beween me and my babies,but one thing i need to say is that i dont have my mom in my life either its been 7 years and dean needs to back off and let tori and her mom work this out. My husband didnt like what my mom was doing to me or my boys but im the one who had to finally realize that its my moms loss, not only did she lose me she lost out on knowing my 4 wonderful boys and there wonderful kids

that is so true tori, i am very sorry that your mom is being that way! i am even more sorry that if my mom did that i would be like f' off and forget about me! that is just selfish and not even right from your moms side. i watch your show every week, if not re runs from the last. i just cant help but think wow!!!

you are a very lucky woman! you have it all! everything that i would want from my mom would be nothing like that. me and my mom are very close and i would give anything for her but at the same time nothing if she did that! i love you and your cute lil family, hope all goes well sweetie!!!

Yes and IMO there was more to that email than what Tori was allowing viewers to hear or it was edited. There are always 2 sides and while Tori may have been hurt by her Mom she needs to stop broadcasting it and bashing her Mom. They both need to suck it up and meet for a quiet lunch, just the 2 of them w/out cameras.

I read Tori's book "Stori Telling" and Candy's book as well, not once did Candy bash Tori in her book, Tori bashed her Mom throughout the entire book. Let it go already and fix the relationship or walk away.

I would leave her alone for awhile, No Contact whatsoever, she got her butt on her shoulders and loves making you come to her. Lets see how she likes not having any contact with you at all, then you will see if she truly knows how to love her daughter. By the way how come we never hear about your relationship with your brother?
Maybe if enough relatives circle in your corner, maybe moms might stop being so selfish.

My hart goes out to torri I have a mom like that if it was not for my step dad to make things better I would be in the same boat so to speak , unless you have a mom that is like that then it hard to understand at all sending my understanding to torri
