Just wondering...

Has anyone else noticed the judges seem to judge Pinky a little harder than the others because of her "dance background" (which is only hip hop and actually very hard to transcend to other dance styles).

For instance, tonight Shayla and Alicia got a 10 from Mayte for '80s style but Pinky only got a 9 from Mayte. Not taking anything away from the other two girls because they did great (well at least Shayla), but I thought Pinky's footwork was a lot more intricate and she should have gotten at least as good or better. That's just one example but I've noticed it consistently throughout the show. Enough to make me go - HUH????

Yea I think pinky should have gotten a better score. She did very well.

I completely agree, Pinky does a very nice job, and i hope she goes far.

Pinky always had a harder road to travel on this show. With a hip-hop background and no ballroom partner, a smaller frame and difficulty losing weight, sheer determination and dancing have kept her in the mix.

Her energy and embodiment of the music lights me up and gets me dancing. She has very specific dance skill considering coming from street moves.

The 80's dance was a good example of the inequity, while Shayla's leggy jazz training, spotted turns and Ruben's past dancing, generally, were always a plus. Pinky could not have done Holiday as well in the beginning, so she could have been scored on growth as the others.

Judging is subjective with different challenges to reward, so I don't like to question motives. There seems to be a consistency with Danny and Lisa Ann, but Mayte not so much. Lisa often commends on proper dance hold, but Mr. Lucky, however in sync and wonderful for Pinky, is not a ballroom dancer.

The show will end up as weight loss considered more and a promotion for the show. All are winners in facing their demons, getting fit, and in a supportive camraderie that makes this show special.

The winner will not be the best dancer with the smallest weight loss.

I'm glad to see others have the same reaction that I do when it comes to PINKY! I believe she IS the most talented dancer on the show, and although "technically" she should have been off last week, I was thrilled to see they kept her on for one last shot...I know she has the hardest time losing the weight and that will be her downfall (other than the judges criticizing her more than any other of the dancers!) and my prediction for the end...

1st place and winner) Ruben- although talented does have the sympathy "perfect" scores of the judges.

2nd place)Shayla- another talented and motivated person...who is predictable when the scores come in (crying) but definitely a threat to Ruben

3rd place)Alicia- who would have thought she would get this far? She's got the drive to dance, but she's not #1

4th place and my all time favorite) PINKY- I wish I could see her at the top but I think she's being judges harshly and she just doesn't have all the weight that the other contestants have...

anyway, CANNOT wait for a tour, you better come to KANSAS CITY!!!

Let's see if they give Pinky at least one 10 as a going away, since they know weights beforehand. Alicia is too dramatic a transformation, effusive interview and promotion point for next season to send home.

A tour would be a great motivator to keep the weight off and maybe take off more, but I don't know how popular a brand yet to get paying fans.

Promise of another televised dance to start the next season might do the trick.

What I thought was unfair was the fact that they gave Pinky that Tap number when Mr Lucky had no Tap experience.
