I don't understand why Tori & Dean call Stella "mama". Dean calls Tori "mama" - that, I understand. Makes no sense AT ALL to me. (and it bothers me for some strange reason) I do like the show, by the way and think that T&D are good parents.

I am from the south & my grandpa called my grandma "mama" and he called my mother -his oldest daughter- "mama". I dont know what other people consider it as but we have always thought of it as a term that was loving and endearing. it wasnt ever said or taken to be "bad". He called his other daughter -my aunt- "sister", it sounds weird but that is how we have always grown up so we have never given it a second thought. I wouldnt let it bother me. Some people have weird names for family.
their are a lot of parents who dont even pay attention or take time to see their kids cuz they are from broken homes, so I consider "monkey" and "mama" or as Tori calls her "Stellita" to be allright the most important thing is that those kids grow up knowing they are loved, and they are.
