Full Version: This is a WEIGHT LOSS SHOW!!!!!!!
Oxygen Boards > TV Shows > Dance Your Ass Off
FL Girl
Contestants get eliminated because their WEIGHT LOSS COMBINED WITH THEIR DANCE SCORES are NOT high enough to beat the competition!!!!!!!!

Condemn Shayla and Pinky for not losing enough weight...not Alicia and Reuben for playing the game the way it is supposed to be played!!!

I've never heard so much ludicrous griping in my life...that said...I do think the judges are all over the place with their judging...and way too many "tens" being given out!!

I agree that too many tens are given out. I feel that the scores in general are often too high and too forgiving. This is sort of how I feel the scale should go:

7-10 = above average range

10--phenomenal, graceful, beautiful
9--excellent
8--very good
7--above average; just a few elements need to be refined

******

5-6 = average range

6--good, but not great
5--average/so-so

******

0-4 = below average range

4--a few elements and effort present, most lacking; clumsy
3--needs improvement
2--very little effort and very few elements
1--a point for effort, but not well-performed
0--performance was painful to watch
hoops
Nobody should have gotten above a 7.

You can't condemn Shayla and Pinky. It is much harder for someone, especially women, who weigh 185 lbs to lose 30 lbs than it is for someone who weighs over 300 to lose 60...it is a biological fact, so their work was much harder. They clearly built more muscle tone than Reubin, which made their bodies tight and shapely. Muscle shows heavier on the scale, so even if they loss more weight, as their bodies clearly to show, the heavy muscle they have built decreases the reading on the scale.

A man can quickly los 10lbs in a week when a woman would struggle to lose just 2lbs...learn the scientific facts before you condemn anyone!

The BAHAMAS loves Shayla but many of us won't watch again because of the unfair finale. She came closest to the goal of the show...delivering outstanding performances and completely transforming her body into something any woman would be proud of...in that amazing outfit at the end...who else could have worn that?

While I'm sure the scores were based upon this particular skill level (definitely beginner), I do agree that certain people received "tens" when they didn't earn them. While I missed Ruben's first perfect score dance number that week (I think that's the week Mara was booted), I haven't seen any perfect score material -- beginner or not -- since. If anything, Shayla (even though I think she's phonier than AT&T) put in the work to get perfect scores.

Ewwwww!!! Then he was HORRIBLE! What the hell was up with all those short extensions, zombie faces and BLATANT missteps? I dislike Shayla and that THING but even they had amazing leg lifts and extensions. No wonder he gained weight. He probably was tossed out on his a** by the dance community for being so lousy.

I am severely disappointed by his win.
